It’s what I thought it would be: familiar story, decent enough performances, “touching” and “rise above it” and all of that. Really, though, an Oscar for Sandra? I mean, I like her; she seems fun and cool and not all stuck-up celebrity, but this type of role…. seen it. Been there, done that. Now, maybe Sandra hasn’t, but all the same. Ah well. There it is.
